In podcast production today, both versions are often made at once, because a podcast is not only listened to but also watched. OSLO STUDIOS therefore usually delivers a video version for YouTube and social media and an audio version for the podcast platforms. If you only need audio, you get audio.
Recording takes place in our sound studios, with studio microphones, our own lighting and several cameras. Editing, color correction, mixing and delivery all happen under one roof. You can come in at any point, from a single recording to a whole season.

Process
Producing a podcast
A clear process makes every recording easy to plan, from the first episode to a whole season. You can come in at any point, for the entire project or individual steps.
Briefing and format
Content, length, audience and platforms are defined. We clarify whether to produce in picture and sound or in sound only.
Setup
Microphones, cameras, lighting and background are set up. Remote guests are tested in advance.
Recording
The conversation is recorded multitrack. Sound and picture are monitored throughout the recording.
Post-production
Editing, color correction, mixing and mastering. Noise and slips of the tongue are removed, logo and graphics are added.
Delivery
Video and audio versions as well as clips are delivered in the formats each platform requires.
What does podcast production include?
Podcast production covers preparation, recording, editing, mixing and delivery to the platforms. A video podcast adds cameras, lighting and color correction. OSLO STUDIOS takes on every step or just individual ones.
Does my podcast need video?
Not necessarily. Video lets you publish on YouTube and cut short clips for social media. If you only want to appear on audio platforms, you produce without picture. We advise you on what suits your format.
Can guests join remotely?
Yes. Guests join via a remote connection and are integrated into the episode in sound and picture. The connection is tested before the recording.
Can you produce several episodes or a whole season?
Yes. Several episodes can be recorded in one session or in regular sessions. Setup and process stay the same across the whole season, so every episode sounds and looks the same.
Can I book only the studio or only the post-production?
Yes. You can book the studio and equipment with technical support and do the editing yourself. We also edit and mix material that was recorded elsewhere.
Can a podcast also be recorded outside the studio?
Yes. Conversations and panels can also be recorded at events or other locations, with mobile sound and camera equipment.
In which formats is the podcast delivered?
We deliver the files the way Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and the social media channels require them. Video version, audio version and clips come from a single source.
