What sound can do today

Three-dimensional sound design

Dolby Atmos is a new language of storytelling for music, film, games and brand communication. It opens up space for sound. With Dolby Atmos, you no longer think in tracks, but in perspectives. Music, speech and sound effects gain depth, direction and presence. This makes a production feel more vivid and more real.

Contact us
  • What is Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is an object-based audio system that places sound freely in space. It is a precise, spatial form of storytelling in which sound gains depth, direction and emotion.

  • What is the difference between Dolby Atmos and stereo?

Stereo places sound on a two-dimensional plane—left and right. Dolby Atmos expands this plane in depth and height. Sounds can move freely in space, enabling realistic spatiality and precise localisation.

  • Why is Dolby Atmos considered the new standard in audio production?

Streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Tidal, Netflix and Disney+ support Dolby Atmos natively. New devices, headphones and speakers are already designed for it. What seems optional today will soon become standard in production.

  • How does an Atmos production for music differ from one for film?

In music, the space serves the sound. In film, sound follows the action and supports the perspective. Both benefit from the same technology, but with a different storytelling approach.

  • How does Dolby Atmos change brand communication?

Dolby Atmos makes it possible to design sound in space and stage a brand as an audible, spatial experience. This creates closeness, orientation and a distinctive acoustic signature—regardless of the medium. Streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and TV or cinema channels now offer Atmos support. As a result, spatial sound is increasingly becoming part of the brand standard.

  • How does a Dolby Atmos production sound on regular headphones?

The effect is audible even without special speakers. Dolby Atmos is rendered binaurally for headphones, preserving the spatial sound—an immersive depth that feels natural in your head.

  • Is Dolby Atmos only interesting for large productions?

No. Atmos gives small and medium-sized projects in particular the opportunity to stand out. A clear, spatial mix feels premium—regardless of budget.
